Classification and use of carbon black for rubber

The naming system takes into account the vulcanization speed and structure of carbon black rubber, and consists of four systems. The first letter stands for the speed of vulcanization of rubber. N is for normal vulcanization rate, and S is for slow vulcanization rate. The first letter of the last three letters represents the carbon black Nitrogen Surface Area. N220

Applicable to all kinds of rubber, wear resistance is 10%-20% higher than N330, can give high tensile strength and tear strength, and has certain electrical conductivity. It is mainly used for tread adhesive of truck tire and passenger tire, and rubber products requiring high strength and high wear resistance

N550

It is suitable for natural rubber and all kinds of synthetic rubber, it is easy to disperse, it can endue the rubber material with high stiffness, it has fast pressing speed, small mouth expansion and smooth pressing surface. Vulcanized rubber has good high temperature performance and thermal conductivity, and good reinforcing performance, elasticity and resilience. It is mainly used in tire cord adhesive, tire side, inner tube and rubber material of extruded and calendered products.

N660

This product is suitable for all kinds of rubbers. Compared with semi-reinforced carbon black, it has higher structure, finer particles, easy dispersion in the rubber, vulcanized rubber has higher tensile strength, tear strength and tensile stress, but small deformation, low heat production, good elasticity and flexural resistance. Mainly used for tire curtain tape, inner tube, bicycle, rubber hose, tape, cable, shoes and calendered products, model products, etc

N774

Suitable for all kinds of rubber, this is the biggest except cracking method carbon black particle size (product size is 80-170 nm), the lowest structure carbon black varieties, more than for the tire body of buffer layer and layer fabric, rubber hose, rubber extrusion products, all kinds of industrial rubber products, as well as wire, cable and the product in rubber can fill a lot, its high elongation, low heat generating vulcanized rubber, high elasticity, ageing resistance performance is good. This product can also be used instead of hot cracking carbon black.

N990

Pyrolysis carbon black: Rubber carbon black N990 series carbon black uses natural gas as raw material, in the condition of isolated air without flame combustion, pyrolysis generation, known as pyrolysis carbon black, carbon black N990 basic performance and furnace carbon black has a big difference. The advantages of carbon black N990 are as follows: 1. Particle size and distribution. N330

Physico-chemical property: N330 is the most widely used high wear resistant carbon black, the wear resistance of this product is not as good as N220, but better than slot carbon black.

Application: Mainly used for tire tread, cord adhesive, tire side, solid tire, drum outer layer, rubber tube surface, industrial rubber products, car tire.

Usage and function: this product is a kind of carbon black with good reinforcing performance, which can endow the rubber with better strong stretching performance, tear resistance, wear resistance and elasticity. The rolling loss of the tire is only greater than that of N351 in the N300 series, which is smaller than the others. It is also good at dispersing and pressing the rubber in the middle. It is suitable for all kinds of synthetic rubber and natural rubber.

N234

The wear resistance is about 10% higher than that of N220. Mainly used for high speed tire surface adhesive, surface repair tire strip, automobile rubber parts, conveyor belt, transfer pad, etc.

N326:

It has high tensile strength, tear strength, wear resistance and crack resistance in natural rubber. Mainly used for high strength, low heat production of tires (including off-road tires) tread rubber, also suitable for conveyor belt, sealing products and other high quality rubber industrial products.

N339:

The reinforcing performance, wear-resisting performance and anti-tear growth performance of tread rubber are close to that of N220 carbon black. Mainly used for passenger tyres, truck tread rubber, conveyor belt, hose and a variety of high wear resistance rubber industrial products.

N375

and N339 performance is basically the same, heat generation is slightly lower than N339. Mainly used for car tire, truck tire and off-road tire tread adhesive.

N539:

rubber which used this model, its pressed surface smooth, small mouth expansion. The tensile strength and elongation of vulcanized rubber were higher, the stress of fixed elongation was lower than that of N550, and its elasticity and fatigue resistance were better. It is mainly used for rubber material of tire body, especially for rubber material of cushion layer based on natural rubber, and also for rubber material of tire base, rubber tape covering and other rubber products, wire and cable sheath.

N990:

This product is mainly used as a filler for rubber and plastics, and can also be used as a raw material for tungsten carbide products in the metallurgical industry or as a heat-resistant insulating material, reducing agent, etc. In the rubber material with a large number of this product, does not affect the adhesiveness of the rubber material, when the amount of the amount, you can get leather rubber products. This product is easy to process and does not affect vulcanization. Vulcanized rubber has low hardness, low heat generation, small deformation, good flexural and aging resistance.
